I'd trust no one, but that's just me. Have some sort of lock on storage for it if anything. Not saying keep it in a safe but at least somewhere where it can be locked up when not intended. Are you sharing a dorm room?

If it is a safe school then why not? But do not leave it in the main room. That is just asking for me.

I dont know the lay out of your dorms, but if you got your own room, lock it in there, and nevvvvvver have it out during a floor party or anything like that, but thats just a given.

I wouldn't because of reasons like thieves and it could get in the way of your study.

I too am going off to college and I have been pondering the same questions. I decided to take my wii with me, because I think if my PS3 was ever stolen I would be devastated. At least the Wii is cheap enough to replace. then again, I am going off to school like two hours from my house and will play the PS3 on the weekends. If you are in a position where you can't really get time with your PS3 on the weekends, then I say take it cause there is no point of letting the system not get any use. If you take it then use caution.

excuse me..... ^^^^

arg.... not really a decision man.... the thing is that, without you ps3 you are gonna freak when the fall line up comes out.... i'm trying to put together some funds and get a 22-32 inch tv.... depend on how much i can get 300-600... based on what i've seen.... but i go to a small canadian university.... and i'm an ra... different story.... just buy a safe... or a video operated taser.... whatever suits your ps3's safety needs....

my ps3 is safe in my dorm! its in my room, and i dont really have to worry about locking it up..the people in my dorms are pretty nice friendly people..they infact bought their own ps3 after a few rounds on mines...we have some good rounds every Wed. (for some of us that have short school hrs.) on resistance online! its really fun...btw, i live with my girlfriend, and i dont mind her touching it :)

Translation- "If you are lame then do not take it. If you can gain respect easily and you do not let anyone punk you out, then you have nothing to worry about." Also, very agreed, sivo. i took mine with me to my dorm last year and it was fine.

Do you mean Michigan State University? I would guess so since you mentioned such a large student body. That's pretty cool because I live in East Lansing. Anyway, as long as you aren't high profile with it (don't go around bragging about it), and you lock your dorm room everytime you leave (even if it's just for the bathroom), you should be fine. I had my PS3 in my dorm room last year (I go to the University of Michigan) and I had no problems at all.

Im bringing my PS3, my 360, and my Wii. I bought all those systems so i could play them, so i refuse to leave them at home just because they would be safe. Whats the point of having it if youre not gonna use it? Just dont be retarded about keeping it and you should be fine. Definitely take it.

Yea I would lock the door everytime I leave, but then again I have 2 other room mates that might not lock it, so I definitely will not bring it.

If you have a wall-locker that shuts, invest in a combo-lock. If you don't have doors on your locker then invest in a box of some-sort that will let you lock it. When you are in your room, have the PS3 out, play and enjoy the system! But when your not in your room, make sure you put it away, someone will be sure to "Borrow" the system from you.
