Sephiroth vs Kratos

So who would win? I really dont know because they are both awesome and Sephi is THE man but Kratos is like Batman/Spiderman he ALWAYS finds a way and he just wont die!

See if we compare these characters in the context of their respective games, it's seemingly possible to conclude that Kratos is the victor simply because sephiroth lost and Kratos killed gods...

Ultimately, Sephiroth is more skilled. despite Kratos' brute strength (Seph is no slouch either mind you), percision and quickness is what would win this match...

To resirect this thread, I'd like to add that it's possible that both Sephiroth and Cloud were both as strong as the gods that Kratos beat, and probably stronger. Heck, Sephiroth summoned a solar system destroying attack at Cloud. Cloud responded by doing hundreds of thousands of hit points worth of damage on him. Sephiroth very well could win this fight.

on paper, Kratos is a god so he should be more powerful. but judging from in-game, Sephiroth's powers are of cosmic proportion. Kratos has NO chance.

That's an illusion. First and last time I fought him he destroyed the solar system 3 times in this one single fight. How many Jupiters are there to destroy? That was obviously just a damn well made light show.

After fighting Kratos there'll be at least 4 parts of Sephiroth. End of Story.

Kratos suceeded in his goals, Sephiroth was thwarted by Cloud. A little Materia here and there won't save you from the man who wiped out the Gods, plus Kratos has defied death twice, pretty sure he can do it should Sephiroth get a lucky strike lol

the characters off FF7 were also able to take bullets and it only leave a scratch. If you remember cloud taking point blank gunshot and it scratches his forehead in Advent Children. Sepiroth from the Crisis Core was unreal compared to anyone else. Kratos would be tough but his strength was just bruteness with some finese. Sepiroth clearly would be more than a match, but i think this is like comparing the orange to the apple.

Sepiroth Vs Dante would be a better comparison.

Sure Kratos is stronger, but Sephiroth has way more agility and speed, plus he can destroy planets. Kratos wouldn't be able to land a hit on him. Anyone knows in an actual fight, speed > strength. So Sephiroth wins.

Sephiroth, and here's why.

I love the GoW games, but Kratos is ultimately boring. He flings his dual blades about and rips limbs off of things. That's about it. He's quite possibly the most boring hero/main character in a game for quite a while. Dante's Inferno was the inferior game to be certain, but at least Dante pwned Death and stole his scythe. That was cool. Kratos merely overpowering others with strength is kinda lame, not gonna lie. Sephiroth can only be beaten by Cloud, even Genesis failed miserably, who was also quite powerful. Cloud has something to fight for; Kratos fights because he's pissed. Sephiroth is much more powerful than Kratos because of agility and finesse, while still possessing remarkable strength of his own, such as able to draw upon the force of an entire planet as well as from the cosmos.If Kratos got his hands on Sephiroth then he might be screwed, but that's the reason ol' Sephy has a 12 foot long sword :P
