Resistance 3 trailer at Gamescom!!!!!!!!!!!

Insomniac showed a trailer at Gamescom for Resistance 3! They really had me thinking after showing gameplay of new Ratchet and Clank that there wasn't going to be an announcement. I can't wait, really hope it is epic!!! What do you think?

Already knew this game was coming for months. I'm more interested in Ratchet and Clank at the moment with co-op.

Wow, that video is so bizarre. The first half of it, I was thinking this isn't Resistance but once the train went through the tunnels, and heard the siren, I knew it was Resistance. lol

Finally it gets shown :D Now all we need is Kingdom Hearts 3!

nice, i will proably get it because i have the first 2, got them for cheap and they are pretty good games.

I hated the demo for the first Resistance but loved the full game. I've beaten the game 29 times so that should tell you something. lol

How would that suck? Honestly that would be awesome.

By watching the trailer it looks like they are probably not continuing the story from Resistance 1 & 2, which is good for people who haven't picked up a Resistance game yet. Also I'm guessing by the trailer that there may be a possibility that you'll be to play through the campaign with more that just one other player, possibly online.

The first one had alot of advantages over the 2nd and was a pretty solid early PS3 shooter. It may have been a generic sci-fi style shooter, but it did have it's charm. Felt like Call of Duty 2, but with space aliens. The only thing the 2nd had going for it was a serious leap up in graphics, it added graphics but took away all the charm. Despite R2 being a decent looking PS3 game graphically it was quickly passed over by some other PS3 exclusives (Uncharted 2 , Killzone 2, GOWIII, etc). So the only thing it had going for it quickly became meaningless. I just really couldn't stand the level design. I hated that it was SO restrictive and the "corridors" the action took in was so narrow for most of the game you couldn't even strafe left or right without hitting a wall. Also the "perspective" they used just made me dizzy at times (when you go up flights of stairs for instance it was REALLY strange feeling because they were almost flat and too vertical, and in some of the levels the floors seemed like they were tilited at weird angles for no apparant reason)

Hopefully this one has a more open feel, and it's a whole new game engine that competes with the other PS3 exclusives. With it taking in place in NYC just like Crysis 2 it stands a good chance of falling short, hopefully Insomniac knows what they are doing...

I just hope that this game is more like R1 than R2. Also, split screen co-op is a must.

I was pretty disappointed with R2, but I have to admit, after seeing this trailer I am pretty excited for R3.
