Hey I've been looking at the Ratchet and Clank series, never played it but its intrigued me somewhat and I know 'A Crack In Time' is coming out sometime this year.

So, I'm wondering whether it is the sort of game you can just pick up without really having any prior experience. I'd want to play the others but yeh not sure if I'd have the time, and can't really be bothered doing so.

The only ones you need to play are R&C: Tools of Destruction (because Crack in Time Follows tht story line), and R&C: Up Your Arsenal (because the enemy from tht game is back.

Also if you had the time, try playing the first one too, cause then you'll sort of know more about the characters.

If you don't care about the story you can start with this one but if you do I suggest starting with R&C tools of destruction.

Up Your Arsenal is the best in the series of so many great games.

The only one you really need to play is Tools Of Destruction. It ends on a cliffhanger that A Crack In Time follows up from.

You really don't need to play any previous games, even with the storyline its pretty much easy to pick up any ratchet game and play it. It's not a heavy story driven franchise anyway, just a great fun action game. Once you play it you will understand things as you go along. But I guarantee that once you play you will want to play more earlier ratchet games.
