I have some questions regarding the ps3 if anyone knows the answers I will greatly appreciate your help

so here we go:

First does anyone know if there will be another version in production of the ps3 with the Emotion Engine  because I want to get a ps3 but with backward compatibility :(

next does anyone knows what games does the sofware backward compatible ps3 plays (the new 80 gb ps3) if anyone has a link to what games... I am not sure if it plays all but with problems (I just want to play the God of war games from the ps2 and final fantasy 7 and the chrono trigger remake for the ps1) but if someone has a list would be awesome

well thanks in advance for your help :)

I dont think they will make another PS3 with BC, and for the list of games here you can check http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/CompatibleStatus

First of all EE and BC are not synonymous. The 80 Gig ps3 uses software emulation which covers almost everygame and the list grows all the time.

I know the first ps3 the 20 and 60 gb used the EE chip to have BC and the new 80 gb one has the software one ;)

I was just wondering if there were going to be more ps3 with the chip included because the chip has more BC than the software has

also ps3 has been saying that they dont want to make lots of BC games because they want people buying ps3 games... link here if you dont believe me :(

I doubt that they will release yet another SKU with the EE chip in it, they removed it for some cost savings. However, I personally own the 80 GB and there isn't a PS2 game I have that doesn't work on it, including both God of Wars, Okami, and Shadow of the Collosus, they all work perfectly fine. Only problem I had was the early guitar heroes, but thats because of the controllers, NOT the games.

The other games you are talking about are PS1 games, which isn't a concern no matter which PS3 you get, ALL PS3's available so far have the PS1 hardware built-in so should be almost 100% compatible with any PS1 games. Even the 20 GB and 40 GB ones. I know for a fact Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy Tactics and Soviet Strike all work 100% on mine.
