question : how to play media from my computer?

On the XMB windows media player 11 pops up from my computer as a media server, but i cant get to any music and stuff from there. Is there anyway I can play use this to play media from my computer on the ps3? Thanks

In Media Player across the top you see Now Playing, Library, Rip, and so on.

If you click just below Library you will get a drop down menu (have your PS3 on) Select Media Sharing, you will see a list of devices or just 1 depending on what all you have connected to your router. (on mine it says Unknown Device which is my PS3) make sure its set to allow sharing.

Then the same drop down menu select Add to Library and select the folders you want to share and you should be good to go.

BTW depending on how much stuff you have it may take some time the first time for everything to show up.

enable media servers on PS3.

go to windows media player and enable media sharing. thats it :D

then you can stream media from PC to PS3 or transfer to ur HDD
