PSP Perfect for a Resident Evil 4 style game?!!! YOUR THOUGHTS NEEDED!

I love the GC and PS2 version of RE4. I kind of wish it were on XBOX as well. The RE: Deadly Silence had some things going for it, but it was a bit of a let down for me. Don't you think that RE4 or a resident evil game with the control style of RE4 would work perfect?

here are my reasons why:

1). Widescreen Format *something they tried to fake on the GC*

2). Analog stick *You only needed one!*

3) Same amount of buttons the GC has not counting Z because it was a MAP button

4). Wouldn't we all like a portable RE that's not as disappointing as the RE: DS?

control is a bit of an issue, but I'd map the buttons like this for the PSP

R: Aim

L: ready Knife

X: Action button/ Shoot

Square: Running

O/ Triangle:  Inventory Screen

Start: Pause

Select: Map

Analog stick: Movement

Directional Pad: Movement or an extra setting for quick weapon switch or healing.

Yeah, I've beat the crap out of that game on PS one and GC... :(

Even though I am mainly a DS supporter, I think the ability to play RE4 on the go may just be the killer title the PSP needs for me to get one.

Yes, the PSP would be perfect for an RE4 style game and the controls can near be identically replicated. Also given the PSP is almost on a level as the PS2, all they'd have to do is re-use the engine in the PS2 game and downgrade the textures and things. But, if they'd ever do it, it had better be an original game, no port. And, it had better have an infastructure multiplayer, that would give it some serious selling power. Afterall, it's not likely it could ever top RE4 in single player, but at least if it had an online multiplayer it would give it a serious advantage over it.

great, another port/ rip-off port. we already got RE 4 coming to PC now, i dont think we need it coming the the PSP or something like it either :|-NaS-

I was thinking the exact same thing! I think they should make an RE:O for PSP with the RE4 controls and behind the shoulder camera angle.

now THAT is a great Idea. I was talkin about that in the car with a friend of mine one day.

I hope a Capcom Exec reads this. they should really think about it

A game like resident evil 4 is way overdue for the PSP. I was thinking about this almost as soon as I got my psp. It would definitly work on a psp because of the control scheme. I hope however they dont just make some lame toned down port.
