PS3 doesn't even have a single account... R: FOM makes you make a seperate account. I digress, PSP doesn't have anything like XBL with a single gamer tag....

No resistance does NOT make you create a new account.  PSN has a unified log-in, one name for every game you have or plan to get. Currently the PSP has multiple log-ins but that is changing soon.  In a recent interview with Gameinformer, Phil Harrison confirmed that the unified PSN ID would soon be used on the PSP as well, and PSP gamers will be able to use one ID and download content from the PS store, directly from their PSP (Of course you couldn't download PSP specific content to PS3 and vice-versa).  The update is due sometime in the Summer and will add the PSN ID and PS store to the PSP's XMB.

thanks for clearing that up. A unified psp account system would be much easier *thinks back to ps2 online days* and hopefully sony will focus a little more on the psp and psp-->ps3 connectivity in the future
