So I have the slim silver PSP and I've had it for a while now but just recently I tried charging it through my PS3 controller usb cables and it's like not registering and same way w/ usb to PC, etc, and the option for USB charging is on in my PSP options, kinda worries me b/c I'm not sure if I'll be able to communicate w/ my PS3 if the USB port thing on top is not working properly :S Anyone else experience this or have any advise...thx in advance.
Yea I put it into USB mode and still it seams like nothing is happening when I'm trying to charge, no flashing charging indicator or anything. ScorpiuS739
Do you have "USBCharge" on in the system settings?
I think it works PC purely, because i tried using it through my MP3 charger ( that uses a USB cable. ) and it doesn't work..but yet if i plug it into my Comcast box, it charges..
its only a trickle charge since usb doesnt provide much power.you could always make a usb charger by connecting a usb cable and a ac adapter.with this cable plugged into the power jack on psp you can charge it the right way through usb.now if they would make these cables and sell them it would be great.
