Don't be a freakin smart ass!  I just didn't want it to be one of those systems like the Xbox 360 that has a hardware failure every six months.  Try not to be so opinionated!  It was only a question ok!

If it is treated well it should last a very long time, theres no real issues with durability either unless you drop it on it's side. Face up or face down it will almost always survive a fall..perpendicular to the ground is another story.

Dude, they realy should close a stupid thread like this. It's not gonna have hardware failure, just treat it like you're gonna treat any other console

the hardware wont fail by itself like the 360 OK! I've had my refurbed PSP for about a year...and dropped it on the floor like 5 times...its still ticking.

Without dropping it I guess it would last VERY long, all electronic items last long if you dont damage them. The occasional bump might not harm it but be aware, my friend has dropped his 4 times and it works perfectly, however I have a 11 year old cousin who dropped his once and the UMD door wont open, so I guess it depends on luck aswell.

If anything i'd say the battery will go before the PSP does but as long as you take of it will last like any other electronic item would

However long it lasts basically, there's no set about of time it will last.

I've seen ZX Spectrums from 1983 still working but XBox 360's die after a couple of months.

Good question :D!

Don't worry, the PSP will last for quite long if you treat it well...

Dun start having funny thoughts with your PSP and it will survive.
