PS4. Sound through optical instead of HDMI

I want to change my audio output on the PS4. I've set it too output through optical which is what I want. But it never stops outputting through the HDMI as well. Any idea how to turn it off?

I've used the headphones option before through the controller and never had this problem then.

@horgen: Its a stupid bug which they haven't fixed for years, you have 2 work-arounds;

1. Mute your TV and/or turn the volume all the way down.

2. Open up those quick settings (hold PS button down), go to sound/devices, then output to headphones, all audio.

@GTR12: I know the last one work... Stupid of sony not fixing that bug yet.

Yeah I agree, there are threads from 2014 about it on other forums, that should tell you something.

Yet this was working on PS3.
