The war of the console specs have raged on with Sony largely not explaining anything past what was originally announced during the Playstation 4 reveal this past February. That may change soon though as an update to Sony's Tokyo Game Showwebsite Monday revealed three livestreamed stage events from Sony and one of those mentions "detailed specifications."
Sony is hosting a keynote on Thursday, Sept. 19 in Japan titled "The World Playstation 4 Creates" hosted by preseident Andrew House with senior vice president Masayasu Ito and Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida. The description of the keynote is as follows.
Playstation 4 is the next generation computer entertainment system which will be released by Sony Computer Entertainment towards the end of this year, 2013. Detailed specification of this latest system and its exclusive software titles and the new gaming experience that can be realized with the Playstation 4 platform will be introduced together with the latest information.
So far, Sony has confirmed that the PS4 features a custom AMD 8-core 64-bit "Jaguar" CPU, 8 GB of GDDR5 memory, built-in hard drive, Blu-ray drive and AMD Radeon graphics processor capable of 1.84 TFLOPS. What else will be revealed should be of interest to those looking to pick up the next-gen console after it launches on Nov. 15.
