PS3/PS2 Data Thing DL

So i DL'ed this PS2 data thing from the PS store. If i read it correctly it stores PS2 games onto my PS3 HDD. Honestly IDK if thats right. but if it is does anyone know what games are able to be loaded onto my HDD. Thanks In advance

That little file you downloaded is for games that used the PS2's hard drive like Final Fantasy XI and SOCOM 3. Back when the PS3 came out, these games could not recognize the hard drive in the PS3, and thus weren't playable (or in the case of SOCOM 3, couldn't download the map packs that were made available). That file you got is just a patch for those games so it can recognize the PS3 hard drive and properly use it.
