Did you hold the power button down to reset the video settings?

NaughtyRag

thats a good idea.

but apart from that try some new HDMI cables. you can pick them up for around 20 dollars. or ask a friend with a ps3 to "borrow" his and see if that works.
if after that and you still have no picture you should consider calling Sony and asking if they can fix it or getting a new ps3

Do you have anything else to test the HDMI port on the television with? Have you tried plugging into a different port? HDMI ports are not perfect, they are susceptible to wear, especially if you are constantly plugging and unplugging equipment. If it is the port, an HDMI saver cable (which has slightly larger jacks on one or both ends) may be required.

i got the same problem too but a lil diffrent. i tunred on my PS3 input was on HIMI. and when it turned on i only heard the sound the PS3 makes once it starts up u know that lil music clip it plays. but i have no picture. i got scared but i unpluged teh HDMI cable from the back of my PS3 and re connect it back in and it read as i put in a HDMI for the 1st time.

what u can do also idk it if will work is pur the nol anolog input u know the white red and yellow and see if u got anything from that.

PS also what is the YLOD will look like? will the gree light on the power will turn yellow?

If you have YLOD it will turn on then flash yellow then it will just keep flashing red but never start up
