PS3 to PS4 trophies

I'm not much of a gamer but I do have some trophies with my PS3. Does the PS4 use the same trophy system? And if so, is it separate from the PS3 system? Meaning if I buy a PS4 will all my trophies/level be the same? Or have they gotten away from the trophy system? TIA

PS4 and Vita use the same Trophy system as the PS3 (but syncing on Vita and PS4 are light speed now).

Your earned trophy level is safe.

The trophy system carries over. So you can continue to build your trophy count that accumulated playing PS3 games by earning trophies in PS4 games.

Thanks so much guys. Personally, I don't really care if I get them or not, I was just curious to see how that transition would be from PS3 to PS4. I appreciate the answers though! :)

@zero3one: they will transfer and some trophies will transfer to PS4 games aswell as they are cross buy
