So I've finally decided to buy a PS3 around the holidays to take advantange of the bundles they typically have out, but after hearing of the 250GB model, I'm unsure of which to buy. Although only $50 more for 130GB more of space seems rather tempting, would I really even need that much space? Will the expected holiday bundles also include the 120GB model or just the 250GB?

Here in Aus we have bundles for both at the moment... Personally, 120GB is plenty of space for me. However, others download tonnes of stuff so 250GB may come in handy.

If you plan to use it as a media machine you want a larger drive, thats one area that the 360 falls flat on its face. No company should advertise media center type capabilities then offer almost nothing for space.

Anyone who is planning to seriously use a console in that capacity is going to get a drive much larger than 120GB's, let alone 20GB's.

Buy the 299 model then add a 500+ drive

The 250gig model is one of the most useless things I've ever seen

There is not one excuse for anyone to have for buying that since all PS3 drives can be upgraded

They haven't announced any bundles, but you get the feeling there probably will be, seeing as how other territories are getting them. And they will most certainly come with the 250GB. Probably at $400 I would guess. This is just speculation though.

Storage-wise, 120GB would probably be fine for games. If you plan on storing tons of video and music on there too, you may want more ( though I don't get why peole do that, you can just stream that stuff from your PC).

Get the 250GB or you could buy the 120GB and spend some money and you will end up with a 500GB HDD.
