ps3: it only does everything....like slow download speed

is there any way to get the ps3 to download faster? i have it connected to my wireless router and time warner roadrunner broadband. the god of war 3 demo is taking like all day. you might as well cancel all your plans for the evening if you wanna download something

You realize that there are a TON of people downloading that demo right now right? It's probably the most popular thing on PSN right now. I downloaded mine in about 20 minutes... but I got it right when it first hit PSN, so it was before the masses started bogging it down.

Whats your download speed? It could be that or it might be psn.

Although a lot of people say it doesn't make a difference, personally, I get much better speeds using a wired connection as compared to wireless. That could be due to my router, I don't know. Anyway, if possible, you may want to try connecting it with an ethernet cable and see if your download speed improves.

LOL it might sound crazy but I download stuff faster on the PS3 than on my PC using the same connection!

On the PC i download stuff at around 500 kb/s and on the PS3 i calculated i download at approximately 700 kb/s!

The PS3 is fine

sometimes new demos take long like that, when i first tried dling heavy rain demo, it was at like 600 minutes left to download so i just canceled it, but it was cus their was high traffic for that demo, the next day i tried again and it was done in 45 minutes

I dl'ed the GoW3 in 45 mins.zbdyx

It's not because of the PS3. It's your ISP as well as your preference for wireless.

It obviously is more than just your PS3, it's your ISP and your own personal speeds. Way to just blame the PS3 as if EVERYONE has connection to the same internet through the same means (up/down).
