Well I can tell you that they really are pretty durn endurable! Had my cousins over for the superbowl & they got smudges & stuff all over my brd's! I was pissed off! But I wiped them down, popped them in, & they performed like a charm! I was pretty surprised.
Yup I can attest to that. I keep great care of all my discs and still get fine micro scratches on my DVD games. Blu-ray discs are VERY durable due to a coating layer. note: It is virtually USELESS to buy any sort of warranty from retailers when you buy PS3 games.
