I have my Ps3 placed around 10-15 meters away from my router and it picks up around 50% signal strength, but it always fails to connect to the Playstation network saying it failed to obtain the IP address and other errors. I have tried setting my PS3 up closer to my router (unfortunately I can't keep it here) to test. The signal strength is 100% and I have no connection problems at all.
Most here would say that the problem is that my PS3 is too far away from my router, but I have been able to connect to neighbour's unsecured networks where the signal strength is even less then 50% with no probelms. Are there any solutions for my problem?
