so we're supposed to believe you when you only gave your opinion and no proof? the ps3 coming out 6 years after the ps2 doesn't mean a damn thing for the ps4. there is nothing on the internet saying the ps4 has a 2012 release date and there is nothing on the internet confirming a ps4. some reliable websites say that the ps4 will come out in 2014 at the earliest.

Yeah, but the ps3 has the ability to update. The Ps2 ans Ps1 didnt. So they had to be replaced. The Ps3 Is just now starting to be used at its best potential with games. Its only been a year since they introduced move. It wouldnt be a very good buisness move to come out with a new system for a few ( at least 4 years). To tell you the truth I dont know how or if they could make a better system for the ps3.

The 360 came out only 4 years after the original. If you go buy regular console lifespan time, the next Xbox should come out this fall. Just because tha pattern has been 6 years or so in the past does not mean that the future will be the same. PS2 came out 5 years after PS1. PS3 came out 6 years after PS2. The Wii came out 5 years after the Gamecube. The next Nintendo will come out when the Wii has almost turned 6. The first Gameboy had a 9 year lifespan before gameboy color came out. Gameboy Advance had a 3 year lifespan before the DS came out. The DS had a 6 and a half year lifespan before the 3DS came out. You can't judge any current system's lifecycle on the past. The earliest PS4 will come is 2013. 2012 has too many games coming to PS3 for there to be a new console on the horizon. You can tell a new console is coming by the lack of games coming for a current generation console. The Wii has had almost nothing come out this year. The PS3 has a lot coming in 2012.

SONY did not say that PS4 will be out by 2012. That's just some jibberish talk by some user. They don't have the groundwork, muchless the tech specs laid out for the system. What media they'll be using (blue-ray or some new CD).
