Problem connecting to Playstation Network

So I wake up and try to logon to PSN to play bad company 2 online.... and guess what....

the system tells me that a new system update is available. When i try to download it, another message pops up saying "the latest version of the software is already installed. There is no need to update." I even tried downloading via my PC and used a USB stick to transfer the update data, but that didn't work either. Can someone please help?

There's no new system update for me at least and I have been online since about 10 pm last night. I just got off like 3 minutes ago and was never asked to update. Maybe its the update from a few weeks ago. You should probably contact Customer Support as it might be something wrong with the firmware.

lol.... i got impatient and proceeded with a full-scale system format 8) . Guess customer support can't do anything for me now. Thanks anyways.
