I just don't see why anyone who already has any other kind of PS3 will want this. I think the only people that will buy this are those who don't own a PS3 and perhaps current owners who's PS3's die and I don't think this will be enough to make any sort of substantial profit for Sony.

Doesn't look too bad. I've been wanting a second PS3 to put in another room; have to see what the price is like.

If the price is right, I may get this one. A 750gb hdd for the ps3 is about $89.99, so I'm just going to upgrade the hdd once I get one.

PS2 Slim is the best looking of the 3 different style models..... The PS3 SLIMMER wins for the ugliest.

Aw well, if it comes with a $200 price cut I may have to consider it...after waiting a few months for the inevitable design kinks/touchups to get worked out.

So this is the new 4000 series of Playstation 3. With the 500GB model I hope that they also have brought back PS2 backwards compatibilities for the "one last chance" we are not doing this anymore edition.

That would increase sale just a little bit for the diehards of PS3.

The 16GB can be the super budget $149.99 same price as the wii model to convince" the casual only play a couple of games folk" to buy a PS3.

And the 250GB is the plain old PS3 upgrade edition for the people whose PS3 slims have died.

Sony has gotten rid of the slot loading method and returned the the flip open lid of the Playstation, PSone Playstation 2 slim 7000 and 9000 series. For the final 4.5 years of the PS3 lifespan.

Worth getting not really if you already have a PS3, or really like ruffles on your console. Which could be considered feminine if Sony releases this in additional colors.

They sure aren't making it look any prettier, that's for sure. I did say the exact same thing about the current slim model but I got used to it. This new thing just looks ugly, though.
