My grandma, is 70 years old and still playing the Wii. Apparently it is good fitness for old people, the doctor recommended it for her. Mostly she plays Wii sports.
i know some guy on these forums claimed he was 40-something. in real life, i've had a few professors playing games, one of which was a hardcore one (he was from a finacial course). roughly, id' say they all ranged from 30 to 45 y.o. hopefully, i can reserve myself a spot as a gamer later in my life, if my future schedule/life style allows it, that is.
My Dad is 55 and he plays WoW for hours everyday. He has an 80 War. and he is trying to get a Shaman up to that lvl as well. (Currently 48) But the thing is, he doesn't play with others online. He never groups, and has only done the Deadmines instance. He just solo grinds his way up to 80. And he is a maxed out armor crafter. Dunno how he does it but he enjoys it.
The oldest I know is this awesome dude who sold his car for a PS3 when it launched, he's in his late twenties. He bought Haze the other day (as a joke) but traded it in the next day.
Personally? Around 28ish. From the news I heard there was a woman in her 80s that still games.sa10kun
That was Doris Self... She held the world record for the arcade game Q*Bert at one time (she got that when she was in her 50's). Her record was beaten and she was practicing the game again in an effort to reclaim her title. Sadly, she was killed in a car accident before she could do it.
There was a thread about senior gamers on the official warhawk forums, and turns out warhawk has 3 guys in their 70's playing. Oldest I know is a 46 year old brick layer from alabama.
im 23, still play games. i think i might be on the brink of letting it go a bit. didn't play too much when i had a girl in college...need to find another one of those.
Oh yeah and at the college went to had a tech Prof. who at the end of every year challenged all his students to a Street Fighter 2 (SNES) tournament and if anyone could beat him they got a bunch of extra credit. BTW he never lost. But that guy was in his 50's. And yeah a lot of old people play WoW. Like my post earlier bout my Dad who is 55.
