It would also be nice to be able to play music behind your picture slideshows. When you load a card or disc with a few hundred photos, it gets kinda boring looking at all those with no background noise. Just a thought...madmonk42002u already could do that...press the PS button
Do you just need to get the latest upgrade for the PS3 or to get all the features of the upgrades do you need to download all of them separately? matt_moonheadyou just need to download the latest upgrade.
and also, it's your only option.
don't worry, just go to the "System Update" (or whatever that called) and wait (from what i heared it's about 20 minutes to one hour. maybe they improve the speed, so i don't sure).

i have a quick question about PS3 Blu-ray playback for 720p HDTVs.. i've previously read that blu-ray movies can only be played in 1080p on the PS3 and that if you try to play a blu-ray movie in 720p/1080i, it'll get downgraded to 480p..
has this issue been resolved in the recent PS3 firmware updates?.. i fully plan on buying a 60" 1080p HDTV down the line, but i'm looking at getting a quick 720p HDTV in the meantime.. i'm just wondering if i'll have any issues with blu-ray playback if i decide to go with a 720p set... -thanks

when is the massive march update coming (don't say march)?
I scanned through the updates but I still have a question.... Was there an update released that made it so you can play games in 1080i on TV's that dont support 720i or 720p? I have an older TV that downconverts 720i/p to 480i, but displays things in 1080i fine, so I wanna know if i could use 1080i display.
Thanks.
