The question is, is this guy just a PC fanboy trying to justify spending $3,000 on a PC instead of $500 for a console.  Of course the PC will have more horsepower within 1 year after the launch of any console but that doesn't mean the games on consoles will start looking like crap.

The man is one of those "half empty" people.  He's not giving each company as much credit as they deserve for what they're pulling off, but he's more than likely right about everything.  That is unless he is just some egotistical hermit who thinks he knows all about PCs.

The RSX is faster & performs better then nVidias newest PC GPU, and it costs $999 :/.  You guys honostly think you'll be able to afford a next-gen PC :/.  MEH, I'm wondering how much CPU power you need for next-gening in a PC.  The Cell has 7 x SPE at 3.2ghz, 7x 3.2ghz common, you going to find a CPU faster then that?

This article was made in november 2005 before any of the next gen consoles were released.

So they were basicly going off rumors.

It's pretty clear the proccesors in both 360 and ps3 are better than a intel pentium 4.
