I kinda enjoyed it tbh, but mostly because its finaly a NFS game like in the good old days. I agree about the controls though, the handling of the cars wasnt realy that good, though NFS has never been knows for its realistic driving. In most NFS games its just flat the throttle and braking is completely unnescesary.
Not getting it at release btw. Maybe when its a bargain, maybe never. Dunno
I've put so many hours into Burnout Paradise and was pretty hyped for this game since its EA and Criterion. I don't think I'll be getting it.
The controls felt off and I kinda forced myself to play a second race before turning it off and deleting the demo.
[QUOTE="emitsu97"]It looks great but the cars have unnatural grip.funsohngthis. heavy grip makes it no-no for a game that's like burnout. *Not to pick on you. But for the people saying "The cars feel unnatural". How do you guys know what a decked out Crown Victoria going 200+ feels like...?

play forza 3 and you'll know this games got nothing on F3.
How do you guys know what a decked out Crown Victoria going 200+ feels like...?FightingfanAnyone who's done any spirited driving can tell you there's way too much grip in this game. In this demo you're either understeering or inducing oversteer. There's no actual turning. It's almost as if the steering rack maxes at 15 degrees and you're left relying on your ebrake to get the nose of you car to go somewhere useful.
Yup, I'll agree with just about everyone here. The control just isn't there. After a few rounds with the demo, I was almost able to make a full lap without hitting the walls, as you really have to slide through them, and the cars do feel "heavy." I'm gonna pass until it hits the bargin bin.
Point to point races are boring, plus no wheel support made it a definite no
Such a shame, I loved the original Hot Pursuit

Why on earth would you compare this with forza 3. Come on one's a arcade racer and the others a sim. I really don't understand why you're talking about forza
If you want a racing game, get a sim. Gran Turismo will eventually be out and that game will be worth every penny.
i liked it but i think that it is a cluncky version of burnout Paradise
dont think im buyin it,have plans for Naruto2 and Black ops
I'm totally getting it after playing the demo.:D Was intense and despite no cockpit view (from what I could tell) the controls felt satisfying and the sense of speed was insane!:D
I'm also getting this Burnout vibe in this game.:P I'm not too upset that there are no customization or anything (since I'm currently still playing through NFS Shift) and no free roam, I can live without.:)
I'm HYPing it AAA 9.0!8)
i was really looking forward to it since the shocking surprise showing from e3, but to be honest it turned me off, it doesn't feel like need for speed at all, eventhough i never played any burnout before it just feels like burnout, threw in the name need for speed hot pursuit. and i didn't like the controls and handling, the controls in old nfs like hot pursuit 2, underground 1 and most wanted are perfect for me.. even shift i also like the controls.(i always use manual btw)
it should be called burnout pursuit.
