This is no Resistance burning skies, which is a great thing
Call of Duty on the Vita feels very much like a call of duty game, the guns have a lot better sound to them than the pea shooters in Resistance, The graphics have improved heaps since the E3 trailer this actually looks impressive!!! it may run at 30FPS but it's a very solid 30FPS maybe even locked as it's been totally smooth with no frame rate issues at all even when big explosions happen during set pieces.
The single player is mission by mission based with a small story attached to each mission, it's more like a spec ops than anything else which may sound disappointing but it works perfectly for on the go handheld gaming, you play as either woods or mason depending on the mission and at the end you get rated and it gives you all your stats, it has heaps of replay value as there are 3 difficulty levels and it has online leader boards, single player is actually addicting as you want to best your previous outing.
So the multiplayer, well it's great! the maps are smaller because of the smaller number of players 4vs4 which work perfectly you are always in on the action and it's fun as hell, has custom classes, kill streaks, rank ups, it's all there and feels very much like call of duty with it's slick fun and fast game play.
If you are looking for call of duty on the go the devs have totally done a 180 from resistance burning skies and have made a very fun on the go handheld call of duty.
apologies for spelling and grammar errors I went to the midnight launch and picked up call of duty black ops 2 for PC and Declassified for Vita it's now nearly 4 in the morning :/
