More split screen 16x9 widescreen games

Would you like to see more 2 player games for the ps3 that use

each half of the 16x9 widescreen display ( left side 4x3 / right side 4x3 )

seems to me like the perfect way to play against friends on the same tv?

I would particularly like to see this for UT3

It would actually be 8x9 and 8x9 which would be 4x4.5. Sorry but I had to.

It would actually be 8x9 and 8x9 which would be 4x4.5. Sorry but I had to.

I can't handle split screen in any way shape or form, it just ruins the experience. It ruins the graphics, condenses the screen size and is no fun at all. I would literally like to play by myself than with a friend if it had to be that way.

Thankfully there are better options like online Co-op or system link capabilities that let you play with you friends and enjoy your whole screen. I'll accept nothing less. Large_Soda

It doesn't really mater in my opinion. I can't stand either for my screen to be shrink. I'd rather takes turn with my friends or do Co-op online, or just do regular multiplayer.

Personally I don't care for split-screen. It takes my enjoyment away.

Yes, I would like to have more 2-player split screen games,either co-op or vs. I'm playing Resistance in co-op now with a friend and it's more fun than the solo campaign.huriona

Not that I know of. I was just drawing off of experiences like Gears of War and Halo 3. There will be games out for PS3 that support this, I believe Resistance 2 will offer 8 player online Co-op.

correct motorstorm would have been way more awsome than it already is ...

So why are game developers not doing more of these games ... clearly people want them????
