I could never get all the way in to the MGS stuff. I also JUST got a PS3 as my first ever sony console. I ended up picking up some of the classics, and wow, God of War is a total blast to play. The second one really keeps the ball rolling (and the blood flowing). I am really excited to see if number 3 in the series continues the trend on to the next gen.
So for me, God of War 3 over metal gear, with out the shadow of a doubt.
GOW3, I luv GOW, my fav PS2 games ever, I rented MGS1 way back n the day, but never really got into it, don't ask me why? I tried too recap by buying MGS2when I got my PS3,but the ebay sellerjerked me, so I guess I'll be lost for MGS4.
Well after watching the 15 minute gameplay demo vid on psn that was up like 6 months ago MGS4 deffidently looks to be the best game to be created thus far. I am however VERY excited for GOW3 as I just love the GOW series (I like brutal killing) and am very excited to see what the team can come up with....
If you watch the developement vids of GOW2 you will see that they put in an excessive amount of effort into their games and I personally think that they will come up with some sick ways for players to finally use the motion control...
Mgs4 I grew up play kojima game I never played god 1 or 2 but I will give it a try but if you have a ps3 I'am shore you would play mgs4 fan or not!!!!!!!

i played and 3 games and portable ops and i'm still kinda lost. so don't feel bad.
MGS4. Ive played every game in the series and they have all been great! (Apart from Acid and Acid2 which really was bull...to me anyway.) GOW is to repetitive for me, i find it to easy as well.
Well since nothing has been shown about GOW3 I'll choose MGS4 but then again why choose between the two when you can get both. Keep in mind that GOW3 won't be released until 09, I just hope we are shown a teaser or trailer at E3 08.
God of War is actually pretty far down the list after MGS4. In fact I would put FF 13, Gran Turismo 5, and maybe even Killzone 2 ahead of it now. Not to say it wont be popular and good. I just think those other 3 will be more popular. Forget one game like MGS4 meaning sales, GT 5 is a European system seller, and FF13 is a Japan one.
MGS4 here....I've never played a God of War game yet....I've always wanted to I just never got around to it I guess. I will definitely end up playing GoW 1 & 2 but I know MGS has a special place in my gaming heart.
