MGS4 Bundle Question....only answer if you are 98% sure.

Ok, so I was under the impression that the 80 gig bundle had backwards compatibility, however the dude at gamestop said it did not. I have a hard time believing the people at gamestop, due to past misinformation given. And I also realize that the Konami store bundle is a 40 gig without BC, I'm only interested in the 80 gig bundle. Will somebody who has done their research and positively knows the answer please inform me as to whether or not BC is included in this 80 gig bundle. And no I'm not going to buy the 40 gig and buy a PS2 seperately....that defeats the purpose of waiting for the MGS4 bundle.

So someone knowledgable please tell me....BC or not?

It was originally said to have BC, unfortuntatly it appears to have none. Maybe PS1 game'z. That'z it.\

The PS2 emulation on the 80gb is done with a mix of hardware and software, unlike the 60gb and 20gb, where it is almost completly hardware.

It is possible that it will get an update containing the software eventually, but I wouldn't bet on it.

With firmware updates, it is more 90-95% compatible.
