I don't know what to think of this. How else could they expand the story? Talk about Big Boss' life again? Meh. Honestly at this point, a part of me wishes that the franchise could just end. The 4 main entries were epic and ended in a very high note. Then Peacewalker happened and in my opinion, really unnecessary, storywise. Now here comes Revengeance where Raiden will kill everything Snake stood for. He can chuck Metal Gears with one fricken hand when Snake had to shoot several rockets just to take one down. It will probably be a good game but I assume it will bring on questions: "Why couldn't Raiden just do Snake's mission instead of dragging him out of retirement? Would've been alot easier."
Then MGS5 is announced...huh? I wouldn't mind so much if MGS4 hinted a sequel like the rest of the games but it didn't. Instead, it tied up all the loose ends from the previous games very very well. A satisfying, and memorable conclusion. What are they going to do for MGS5 now? Who knows, it may actually exceed MGS4 storywise with clever twists but I remain skeptical.As with this movie, I doubt it will push the storyline further. Rather, give it a story within the existing timeline. I wonder what they can come up with, but I'm honestly not expecting much from a game-based movie.
My main concern is that all these projects are coming too fast and it could possibly hinder the overall storyline. Then again I could be wrong and I hope I am.
