8.5 Lasting Appeal
Metal Gear Online or not, we came for the single-player game. We got just enough to balance out the cutscenes. There is definite replayability to be had, if you're passionate.

i just noticed that and its really funny. i really dislike a stupid person the most...

they should have put at least a logical reason for that like "MGO is not good enough or not something new" etc. etc. they really dont give any credit to MGO for replayability and cutscenes' skippable feature...

i hate idiots most...

based on played 2 after 1 and liked it, played 3 after 2 and liked it and i'm all for story more than anything so even it has alittle gameplay, i'll like it even it may be as a movie

It doesn't sound like they really enjoyed the game? But they gave it a 9.5? I think it is just how things are weighted. Yes it looks spectacular and sounds great But they had a problem with everything else. It sounds more like a 8 or 8.5 game...at least for new comers of the series.Zidaneski

The only game we can score here is GTA4, so stop scoring MGS4. Though I think GTA4 should have scored lower on its lasting appeal where as MGS4 with superior online should have scored higher.

Well I can answer that question for my personal thoughts. I am seeing everything from trailers to gameplay and its exactly what I have wanted from a mgs game. So it is goty for me personally and I already know it. June 12 feels months away.

Its annoying, i have GTA4 and though its very good its just not AAAA worthy. Mostly becuae its the same game as the rest, but with annoying "social" bits.

Well, me, I give GTA4 a 6.5 out of 10. The game was a dissapointment and it ****** up my PS3!

You can't, I loved MGS1 and MGS2, I played MGS3 for 2 hours and just had enough. Never finished it.
