My hope is that it will be good enough to stand on its own and not be constantly referred to as a "Modern Warfare" knockoff. I used to really enjoy the series back on the PS1 and PS2. After Rising Sun, though, I have to admit I lost interest in the series. Here's hoping this reboot works well.

If we didn't know the Modern Warfare thing would catch on like WWII did after COD4, we certainly knew it would happen at MW2. That kind of revenue will not be ignored, it almost a guarantee that modern warfare will now become as saturated among the FPS genre as WWII did.

Odd how Medal of Honor came first and Call of Duty starting making World War 2 games, so I guess that makes it a "Medal of Honor" knockoff. (notice also how both games have _____ of ______ in the title? If they were to switch, it would be Call of Honor, or Medal of Duty)
