The upcoming PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 will include an interactive comic that'll tell the story of Mass Effect 1 as well letting you make choices that'll effect your playthrough of Mss Effect 2.

On the DLC side, Mass Effect 2 will include theLair of the Shadow Broker, Project Overlord, Kasumi: Stolen Memory and the Blood Dragon Armor DLCs on the disc. TheZaeed and Firewalker DLC will be available for download through the Cerberus Network.

I was gonna buy the game with or without the MAss Effect 1 but the comic is going to make it much more enjoyable for us who enjoy a good story.

It would've been so hot if they made it an anime :P but yeah, your right. The comic is going to give us a sit back and chill.. (and money saving lol)

I love saving money. I hope they lower the price from 60 dollars (US) but since they packed in the comic and DLC it'll most likely be $60.

Well that same package cost people 80 bucks on the 360, so I would count yourself lucky for the 60.

I'm a huge Dragon Age fan, so I've been looking forward to trying out Mass Effect 2 (not having a 360 and all). I'm glad they're including at least somehting for us to follow the story of the first game.

This is a good idea I didn't want to pick ME2 up without playing ME1 but I might have to now.

Couldn't they re-publish it with a different company or something, then be able to release the first one? Eh, either way I suppose an interactive comic wouldn't be so bad.

I really enjoyed ME1, but you really aren't missing too much by going right into ME2 with the comic story. They improved a lot of things in ME2 and really streamlines the gameplay and made the combat and loot system much more fun. So, you might miss some of the story (which the comic takes care of), but you wont miss the inferior gameplay compared to ME2.

This is a good solution. Even though i own and beat ME 1 & 2 on XB360, i'll buy this for PS3. Mass Effect 2 is that good.

I had the first one for Xbox 360 and I enjoyed it even though it was pretty buggy. Just couldnt get into the second one though.

seems interesting to include an INTERACTIVE prologue where you get to make the vital choices of the first game.

Microsoft game studios published the game and owns the rights. It won't happen even if Bioware gets another publisher unless Microsoft OKs it.

That's great stuff. I'll finish the first on PC and play the second on PS3. Nice to know there's a lot of free DLC with the game.

Me too. :D I think the comic thing is a great idea; I'm way more interested in ME2 & this way I don't have to play through the whole first game to get up to speed... plus it's something unique to PS3 owners, so people on other platforms have incentive to convert to PS3 for the rest of the series if they want.
