being an early adopter i have only seen single good use of the pseye, which was implemented in rainbow six 2, where you could use the camera to scan (front and side) your face, which was used in the game both offline and online, it was a blast to see my close friends in the game... the second good use was in burnout paradise, which used the camera to take snapshots when you were taken out or took out another player... other than these it was a gimmick, well if you have young kids it might be fun to use with the casual children games... :)

Kinect 2.0 is obviously more advanced (the lag is bad, tho), but after watching some vids of the new PSeye I was really impressed with it. I'm picking it up for the fam, they'll enjoy it. It's not a necessary accessory, but something that proves to be a good alternative for goofing around--plus Double Fine will be releasing some free DLC for it after launch.

Kinect is more advanced, but a paper weight when it comes to gaming and it's not optional. If you really go out of your way to want the camera it's going to be all you need and it's cheaper
