So if it's not 21 mil in american dollers, whats the exchange rate? I did hear this was the largest budget game ever but I heard Knocked Up (the movie) cost like 60 mil to make (maybe 40, i forget) and surely a game cant cost as much asa motion picture....right?

I assume you're American therefore i'll excuse your ignorance.

The game is being made in Holland, which is not in Scandenavia. It is the largest media project in the History of the country, holland is a wealthy European nation. It may surprise you to learn that people outside of North America no longer live in mud huts.

By the way the budget is 16 million Euros which is $21 million

Just because your family has upgraded to a grass hut doesn't mean everybody else has. next time think of the less fortunate people, instead of trying to erase them from your memory just because you have moved on. :D

but seriously, mud huts?? what do those look like?

1 euro is about 1,33 $ so it can't be more than double in dollars.

if you played the first, you'd know they don't have a choice. Helghasts are pretty brutal and the story isn't exactly for teens either. i can't wait to play this game online seriously i'm dying.

The game's budget is somewhere around the $25 million mark, making it the most expensive Dutch media project.

whats the big deal about how much it cost? Shenmue 2 cost 70 million USD. You can find interview on Youtube with Yu Suzuki where he confirms it.

R-Dot-Yung.Almost all European countries use the Euro, but they used to use Gilders. Not sure if I'm spelling it right. Canadians know this because we don't believe that we're the only ones on this planet.... lol.. No offence or nothign but the American education system limits peoples knowledge.. 30 million would sound about right, all the people that are involved, music, voices, developers, Engineers, technologists and of course the company all have to get paid and it seems that they are putting a lot of effort into this game.. Let's hope it's not a flop like the other ones....

Episode IV had an 11$ million+ budget... And it had the best special effects in a movie in it's time IMO... It was years ahead of anything else. EpisodeV had a 18$ million budget, Episode VI had a 32$ million budget... Episode I which I believe he was talking about had a was actually 115$ million, so Killzone 2 will never touch it's budget...
