It depends on what you prefer. They are different games. Do you prefer treasure hunting and lots of shooting action or a survival horror where you are battling against a virus with little weapons? Both have great storylines. I think this is the best Uncharted game of the series.

Agree 100% , it's kind of apples and oranges. I will say for my preference it would be uncharted 4, as i'm more of a fan of that series... but there is a sense that Last of us had a little more depth in terms of story/gameplay/strategy. Uncharted 4 is more polished, and your always doing different things.
The Last of Us is incredible but it's so dark that I literally had to take a break from it for a couple months before replaying. Due to that I never platinumed it. Then PS4 came out and then the PS4 version came out. I upgraded but have yet to complete the story on PS4.
Uncharted has always had a far lighter story telling with humor and action. I prefer that. Uncharted really does feel like a modern day Indiana Jones but the theme of the overall arc of the four main titles is family. I can easily relate to that.
Finished both...like many others here, The Last of Us is way better...it's not that Uncharted 4 is a bad game it's just that The Last of Us is one of a kind.
at this pont it's this generation's the last of us (discounting the remaster ;) ). both games are magnificent but when you get to this level of quality it just comes down to personal preference. currently i'd lean towards uc4 as the better game

Are you serious? you have to explore much more in TLOU, the only reason to get around in uncharted are those unnecessary treasures no one cares about, you have to be much more active in TLOU!
@tickle_my_titty: I think it is better than Last of Us. Action wise it mops up the floor with Last of Us for obvious reasons and it's more fun but then it comes to preference. Survival aspects of Last of Us made the game tougher though but the overall adventure did feel a bit more special because it was the first of its kind.
The main reason why I pick Uncharted 4 over it is because this is Nate's last game and ND leaves the series with one hell of a farewell party. It had that emotional impact on me that got me teary eyed to say goodbye to Drake but at the same time happy that he finally grew up.
For me, The last of Us is definitely a winner, because it is accompanied by an interesting story, it is an original game. I have nothing against Uncharted 4, it is also a good game of its kind and of course a great sequel, but still in terms of setting, story and atmosphere, I prefer The last of Us.
