i have a 360 and i'm thinking of selling it to buy a ps3 (this is my second 360 already in 4 months.. do not wish to have to wait for a 3rd replacement when the inevitable happens). i am a huge fps fan tho, and cod4 is my most anticpated game.

i played a lot of socom 2 for ps2 and didnt have trouble with the controller.. what do you guys think of it. i am also a big sports fan an dmuch prefer sony's controller offerings than the 360 for those.

Its pretty much the same as PS2 controller. If that worked for you then it should be fine. Its a great controller. KZ2 coming.

I own both a ps3 and a xbox 360 and this is opinion only, but, I think that the ps3 controller is very good just the axis is bigger so no big problems really....

i own all the systems and i'm happy with fps on all three. each controller is just a little different but good in it's own way....well, except for the wii controller. it's a lot different but in a good way.

You'll just have to get used to the feel of the comtroller.  After that, it's smooth sailing with mass amounts of carnage.  I hope you enjoy your PS3 (if you get it).

the sixaxis is not very strong. i bought it only 2 months ago and both the analog sticks clickers used for zooming in most fps games are already broken and have popped out of the stick. everytime i shake the controller i can hear the litle clickers bouncing around . however, this does not affect the stick and i can still zoom in. its just a little annoying.

the sixaxis is like the ps2 controler just a whole lot lighter and wirless. the analog sttick has more senativity and you will notice that when you play a ps2 fps after playing on the ps3. and the r2 and l2 have more caushing

I have no issues using the SixAxis for FPS.

I've played The Darkness and Resistance thoroughly, and I've had no issues with the controller at all. I thought it would be difficult transitioning between the PS3's controller and the 360's controller constantly, but it's been a non-factor for me.

that happened to my ps2 controllers, after i slammed them on the ground because I was mad, I would never do that to a sixaxis though, too expensive

im wondering if you did something to your controllers because I dont see how else they could break

The only people who say the sixaxis controller is bad are those who have only played 360 for the past year and aren't used to it. I know its the opposite for me. I've only played PS games since 2003 (barring a few nights when I play my friend's 360s) and that controller feels bad to me because I'm used to Sony's.
