Is Red Dead Redemption going to be that hot ?

I do not know much of it, but I hear much of it lol. I am just curious to know about the game from peoples point of view.

thats a good question...i have no doubt that the games gonna be good, but absolutely awesome?!!? has yet to be seen because the recent releases have got me skeptical i mean the games have been good, but not like omg u have to kill puppies to get them.....

I don't know. I've been seeing more ads and whatnot for it, and to tell you the truth before I thought it was just going to be a lame western style GTA, but after watching a few videos and reading some articles about it, it's starting to look better. It's probably going to get an 8/10, or an 8.5 at the most, not saying those are bad scores though.

I have it at absolutely scorchin'.

Rockstar + wild west + open world + interesting story and characters + long development time = a definite game of the year contender, in my view.

There is no game in the coming that I am looking forward to more than RDR aka Grand Theft Horse. I'm betting on a 9-9.5 rating for this title. I truly believe this may even be up for GOTY honors on more than a few sites. Watch the vids on this coming beast and decide for yourself, but in my opinion I see an instant classic on the way.

Apparently this is running on the GTA IV engine, and I'm not a big fan of GTA games. I'm going to pass on this game, at least initially.

I'm pretty interested in it. An open world game from R* should be pretty great. I've never played the GTA games because I have absolutely no interest in pretending to be some wannabe urban gangsta. Take that s*** out of the equation and replace it with the old West, and hey - sign me up :D
