Is my PS3 dying ? , Farcry 3 unplayable

Mind does it too, is this digital copy related like GTA V ? really confused as most of my ps3 titles normally run at least 30 fps.

far cry 3 on ps3 does not have a below 20 fps rate, on the other hand it is an 8 year old device, that is quite outdated compared to fairly recent computers, the game is a bit choppy here and there on ps3 but nowhere near unplayable... :)

It was never unplayable...atleast not for me. I did notice that whenever I would play Farcry 3 my PS3 fan would go to max, and stay there for most parts while I played. Frankly, the max speed-setting on the PS3 scared me sometimes.

Far Cry 3 should be playable.

Played fine for me. I just think you're paranoid about the FPS, especially if you've been PC gaming for a while before playing this. I don't recall it being very choppy, if at all.
