Not sure of your question but I never unplug my PS3 power cable and/or HDMI cable and my PS3 slim has been fine the 2 years I have had it.

I suppose if your TV hasn't got good quality components AND you're not careful enough when unplugging the HDMI from your TV it may create some loose connection in the long run, otherwhise just unplug the mains and leave the HDMI be if you're worried about power consumption from LEDs

It will not hurt the system, but it won't help it either. Why would you want to do this, if I may ask?

I am confused by your question but I heard unplugging your PS3 helps save a lot of energy.

I unplug and replug my power chord and HDMI cable all the time... not while it's on of course. Well, I've had to do that with the HDMI cable while it's on, but it doesn't do any harm.

This. Just make sure the console is turned off before you unplug it, otherwise the hard drive could become corrupted.

it will not do anything to your ps3 i do it all the time, as i play in different rooms in my house depending on where the kids are and where the wife is watching tv, i suggest you make sure you turn it off and switch it off on the ps3 before pulling the cable out, this is just incase the ps3 gets a power surge and short circuits.

I use the same power and component cables for my PS3 and PS2, switching them over on an almost daily basis. No problems at all.

There's seriously no reason to do so. I won't do any harm, but it really doesn't benefit the system in any way either...

Doing that wears out the delicate metal. Just leave it plugged in you silly goose.
