Is "Heavy Rain" as good as "The Last of Us"?

I'm sure people will say the Last Of Us because reasons. Personnaly I enjoyed more Heavy Rain. The Last Of Us is such a cliché zombie/apocalypse story that I didn't even finish it.

I wouldn't say it is but it's still up there as an amazing tittle. I'd still no matter what put the last of us ahead of heavy rain, but again both are masterpieces. One more easy to get into for most but hey not everything can be everyone's cup of tea.

Both are emotionally-charged games, but the gameplay is completely different. Both great, even though I'd put Last of Us ahead by a good margin.

Completely different games but The Last Of Us is much better. I played Heavy Rain and it felt like an interactive movie rather than a real game similar to the walking dead telltale game so these type of games don't have much replay value. The storylines in the last of us and heavy rain are both great. I wish there were more "gameplay" in games like heavy rain and the walking dead though.

They are very different as people have been saying, but share a common element in that neither is much fun to play. They are more of an "interesting experience".

I haven't played "Beyond Two Souls" yet. Is that better than TLOU?

It would be better to compare Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain

Way different games... no use in comparing them. I guess you could say both are more focused on story/characters, but the comparison ends there. Even then, The Last of Us plays a lot differently as it's a third-person action game and Heavy Rain is mostly QTE's and interacting with environments with simple controls.

But I favor The Last of Us, though I'm going to favor that over almost anything you compare it to. I still think Heavy Rain is very much worth playing. It's not for everyone, but I liked it.

Heavy Rain is better because you can't press X for Jason in The Last of Us.

In terms of storyline only? Its up there and I really enjoyed the Heavy Rain storyline, but these are two different games.

I found Heavy Rain to be much better as I don't really like The Last of Us. it came with my PS4, but I just can't get into it as I hate how the action and stealth elements are proportioned. I found Heavy Rain to be better in both game play and story.

don't have PS Plus, never got PS Plus during last generation because I used Xbox Live, my Ps3 was mainly a Blu Ray player. I'll probably pick it up on Ebay or a used game store somewhere.

Last of us definitely has more gameplay to it and a pretty good story but I personally found it to get repetitive by the end, Heavy Rain does have some good parts to it as well (the story isn't bad and the bit the 'infamous' scenes in the basement and that abandoned apartment... ack! The lack of replayability is a negative though. As an aside, B:TS is worth a shot if you can get it cheap - something a bit different with a half decent story.

Loved heavy rain! The story will keep you engaged thorough the entire game, however I did enjoyed the last of us more simply because the gameplay appeals to me more.

Personally, I recommend both games to my friends.

Are you kidding me? The Last of Us all day! Very immersive. You are traumatized within the first 5 min. Fantastic in game cut scenes. You feel like you've been through something. Best Survivor horror since RE4. You'll laugh, cry, and maybe even shit your pants. If anyone disagrees. THEN THEY DIDN'T PLAY IT THROUGH . Not mention the factions MP.

Well I like Naughty Dog and Last of Us really hit me in some spot, the storytelling and the relationship between Joel and Ellie is cute and the clever ways you have to stealth around zombies ramps up challenge.
