is dlc for demon souls region free?

if i have a us account, and i bought a region 1 demon souls for a region 3 ps3, will the dlc work?

Well even if it was, you would need a North American credit card to buy it.

Just to make it clear: You have to buy the DLC in the region in which you bought your game but you do NOT need a NA Credit Card, there's the possibility of buying PSN Cards online with any Credit Card as I do it with http://maximuscards.com/

or you could get an amazon.com credit card

I'm not even sure your European PS3 won't block the NA DLC, it did for me for a free costume for Folklore

btw for some reason my visa cc works for us psn, however my mastercard cc does not, both are issued from turkey...

No, DLC is not Region Free.

And DS has 2 region 1 editions. The original NTSC-J release and the recent Atlus release. Atlus release uses their own servers, which means there is no cross version gaming, help, DLC, etc.

Also, though you CAN purchase DLC from other regions, the game needs to be of the same region. US DLC with US game, J DLC with J game, and so on.

I'm from the uk and awaiting US god of war collection with a donwload code for gow3 demo, will i be able to download this or will i have to crate an american psn account.

You will need an American account. Codes are also region locked by account.

I've thought about the broken archstone as well. I could be way off, but couldn't it be the Maiden in Blacks? Just a thought...says she used to be one of the most powerful demons.

i have a feeling it wont work...

last year i downloaded some free lbp costumes on the EU store and it did not show up when i played on my US account...so im guessing you have to play it on your EU account in order for it to work
