Is anyone else having problems connecting to BFBC2 at the moment?

I've just finished a gruelling essay so I was looking to relax by playing a bit of Bad Company 2 online but I keep getting the following message:

Failed to connect to EA online. Please try again.

My connection is fine so are the servers experiencing more trouble?

Iv'e been play it for the last 4 nights and nothing has happened exept the ocaissonal lag.

i did receive that message once yesterday...also, it was taking a bit longer than usual to connect.
