I am getting a Psp from Japan, i have a psp that i bought from the uk, would i be able to charge the new psp with the old uk's charger - if not i have found a universal plug thing so that i can plug japanese items into uk plugs effectivley but would rather i didnt need to buy that.

Any help is appreciated.

Um... just wondering, aren't you suppose to get a charger with your new JPN PSP?

I have a Japanese PSP (phat) too, and it came with the charger.

I just checked the official Japanese PSP website.

Yes, I think you can use your old UK charger on your new JPN PSP.

The old chargers were already made universal (110v~240v), so you don't really need the universal plug, and the plug on the old charger will fit on the new PSP.

The little box in the middle of the charger cord converts whatever voltage you are using. To put into perspective, I have used the same charger in America, Japan, and China with no problems so far.

Yeah, the little box connected to the power cord does the voltage conversion for you.
