Alright, I noticed some nice things about this update. One thing I noticed is that when you click the Video icon under the XMB, it loads up in an instant unlike before how it would take 15seconds to load (Since I have 50videos Stored), there's also a new visualizer in the Music section. It's like a sketch thingy. Then there's a new radio icon located under the Network. I tried it out and it's really cool. They have like over 50 different Genres. So, all in all XMB runs alot smoother than before. No more lag when you highlight a game. (^_^)

I was just about to post a topic like this. Well, I'll post it here then.

The PSP® system software version 3.80 update includes the following:

* [Internet Radio] has been added as a feature under [Network].
* The importing of channels in OPML format is now supported under [RSS Channel].
* Photos can now be displayed under [RSS Channel].
* New effects have been added to the visual player under [Music].

I'm hating the new visualizer... It looks so dull with the slow lines moving and the brown background... I wish they would release a new visualizer like a liquid one that can showcase the PSP's graphics when you listen to music....

INSTURCTIONS from the Playstation Blog:

How to use Internet Radio on PSP:

  • Download and install firmware update 3.80.

  • Select "Adding the player to the Memory Stick Duo(TM)" and press the X button.
  • When you have added the Internet Radio player, the player icon will appear under the "About
    Internet Radio" icon.
  • Select Internet Radio player icon.
  • Choose a genre and select a station.

I just discovered that the 2nd visual has been updated... If you leave it on the warp visual for 2 minutes, a plethora of colors will appear and circle the screen! I recorded a video of it. Check it out!

I heard rumblings that apparently updating ps3 and psp to newest firmware will let you play ps1 games that are in the disk drive of the ps3 thru remote play and that it will also let you remote play psn ps1 classics downloads thru ps3 (not dled to psp) which could save space. Can anyone confirm any of this?

i just wish that in the next update they would bring more colors for the background and a brightness option like the Ps3 has. Though i liked the radio part. now i can finally listen to some of those metal stations..But over all nice update. i mean content wise.

Thats cool, thanks for that.

An alright update overall; I'd probably appreciate it more if I could use the internet radio.

The radio was a nice update but I think they need to streamline the the interface. It takes forever to load. I still prefer RSS Streaming Tools for streaming media to the PSP. Hopefully, Sony will release some radio tuners for premium services like XMRO.
