I simply cannot believe a game can be THIS terrible

the storyline is terrible...worst in any game Ive ever played.So crammed together at the last minute.

The acting is almost as bad as the dialogue...ALMOST.

The difficulty isnt hard...Its downright unfair.Theres a difference between hard and unfair.

The enemies knock you down and AS SOON AS YOU GET UP they knock you down again without a way to stop it.you just have to sit there and watch.

You shoot the boss and it doesnt even hurt them...

Bad plot = you have no idea what or why youre doing half the things youre doing

they pit you up against multiple VS and Akrid...each with the same power as you individually,youre supposed to fight them all at once without a way to use stragety..then the getting knocked down over and over again thing happens...

I could finish the list,but I would die of old age before I was even finished so I wont bother

You must not have tried Lair. That game makes LP look like GOTY.

I ignored the reviews and got Lair anyway, thought I'd give it a fair shot. Its not as bad as they say.... its even worse.

Lucky I got it used, I was able to take it back for a full refund. Got R&C in its place. Thats a great game.

Don't agree, i liked Lost Planet, and the story was quite decent. You must not know how to play it if you think the diffculty is unfair.el_rika

Yeah, I liked it too. It's still one of my favorite games this gen.

I see where you're coming from. I wouldn't say Lost Planet as a whole is incredibly bad, but there are a lot of things in this game that are. Like the fight against the giant spider boss who stomps on you, knocking you down for 5 seconds while you're trying to get an angle to shoot its legs, because you simply can't shoot directly up in this game.

And yes, the story is downright laughably stupid and doesn't make any sense. I still have no idea who killed the guy's dad and I really don't care either.

It's not that its a really hard game, I just lost my will to play that game halfway through it. Sometimes the game gets so frustrating. I hate it.

I rented LP a while back and I rather enjoyed my time with it, so much so that I forgot to take it back to the rental store in time (I know I should be using an online service, but that's neither here nor there). I've certainly heard worse voice acting, though it's not perfect in LP. The controls took a few minutes to get used to but I found myself liking them a lot (thank goodness the game is 3rd person instead of an FPS), and hard? I think I may have died once throughout the whole game. If anything, it was too easy for me. I don't think it was perfect though...the main character seriously needed a faster run, and the stumbling thing was annoying...that is until you learn the enemy patterns and figure out when to get out of the way.

All in all, I think the game's high production values and solid gameplay make it a very good game, albeit short.

i played lost planet, and its really not that bad, its decent at most, you must not have played conflict yet lol..

LP isn't that bad, but it's got some low points. The story is awful and some aspects of the gameplay (like the grapple thing or being knocked down every 5 seconds) can be frustrating at times. But otherwise, it's rather decent.

And no, it isn't a hard game. Not at all.

Thanks for the reinforcement... I was thinking of getting Lair anyway because it looks really good graphically... I need to pick up R&C at some point, but I'm in the middle of fifteen different games and GTA's around the corner so I probably won't have the time. Hank Williams III is one of the coolest guys on the planet, btw.
