I just left my PS3 on while I am at work. Will it be ok?

I had my PS3 on this am to charge my controller and just realized I never turned the system off. Do you think this will cause any problems?

The day I bought my PS3 I played it for 10 hours without turning it off, I was friend... my system was not. I leave mine on all the time to download demo's and stuff. Just got the Club LOL, it's a funny game, well made actually and very fun arcade style shooting for points and time records lol. Impressive production value, should try it you guys. :) Plus in the demo you get to play as a Russian guy with a mustache named Organov with a big fluffy russian hat with ear flaps and a sickle on it. How can that be not awesome.

I only have DSL 1.5 MB down so I let it download while I sleep. I've never had it get real hot or give me any problems.

If you refer to a child as an "it', they probably already have deep seeded issues. :)

YES. It will be FINE.

I know someone who's girlfriend left his on pause, with the TV turned off whilst they went to Cornwall for 3 days..

He came back and it was FINE. He was annoyed with his girl though, not suprisingly..

If you think about it though, some people will stay on their console playing for hours and hours on end, so really, it just doesn't matter..

Jeez... a friend of mine has his PS3 on for about nearly 7 months already, when he's not playing he is Folding at Home. Stll works like a charm.

I just had mine turned off after 32 hours session, no problems. Since the PS3 was designed to utilize F @ H, its only obvious you can leave it on for 24/7.

Some website held a competition to see if anyone could hack their PS3 that was hosting a dummy site. They left the PS3 on for 6 months + and never had anyone crack it. I personally had my launch 60GB on for 12-14hrs two days in a row and no hint of any issue.

I can't remember the last time I turned my system off. When it's not being used it's F@H so there is nothing to worry about. Actually it may be better to never turn the system off because it doesn't go through the thermal changes every time it's turned on and off. The system was designed to never be turned off hence the F@H project.
