When I had my headset I used it like 5 times maybe? since January 07. But since I lost my mic I can't use it anyways, but im getting the official mic I might use it more, but it should really be like an application and run like Vent minus the whole server thing, but that would be cool to have background chat.
Is the official sony mic suppose to improve communication on the ps3?I hope so because i can barley ever talk or hear anyone online.I have 2 motorola bluetooth headsets and a usb and they just dont work for me all that well.If anyone knows anything about the new mic id apreciate any info.Im still not sure if its my mics or just my system because i just cant get voice chat to work good during multiplayer games.
Yeah, I use it alot. It's fun because alot of people have the PSeye so we can have videochats even though they are all over the world. Once I had a chat with 1 guy from japan, NYC, and brazil. :)
Ive used it once to talk with a friend in real life, but after that i just use my cell, that way we can play games (2 different games) and talk at the same time. i just mostly message my online buddies, not much of a talker (when sober).

Oh no, i happen to have a Motorolla headset (the cheapest one too). i wouldnt kno if its garbage tho, i havent use anyone one, seem ok to me (while the charge is nice and good). Dont really matter tho cuz im pickin up Socom and the Offical headset XD
Voicechat or an actual PS3 chatroom.. where anyone can enter and talk on mics? I've used voicechat w/ real close friends before playing a game where you got to invite someone or be invited. I didnt know a public PS3 chatroom even existed.
Ive used the video chat with my brother who lives 2500 miles away a few times, it was ok. The problem is that here in Mexico even high speed internet is pretty slow (1500k), so only one of use could apply video, and the other audio at one time, or we'd get booted and have to start over. Made for frustration.
there isnt a public chat feature i just meant the private chat that has like up to 6 ppl or so. ive become good friends wtih a bunch of ppl i met online so when were not playing games or anything we will go in a chat rather than message eachother
