I currently could use a third controller. It's all do to playing SFIV, SSF2THR, and MVC2. Im heavy on them when playing fighting games. My L3 is all messed up.

left analog cracked on me from FPS craziness. As for your fighting problem why the heck would you use analogs for a fighter? Unless of course you have one of these Fightingfan
I had the standard SFIV fightstick however after a half hour of playing on it. stick won't respond going anything left. I plan to buy a new non madcatz fight stick sometime.
I have 2 Dualshock 3 controllers since I bought my PS3 (one that came with the PS3, the other a 2nd controller I bought so a buddy can play multiplayer with me), both not replaced yet.
I'm still on my first. I've taken it apart to clean it and things like that, the only major issue is the sticks, they've become stuck since i play games so much, always bashing the sticks in games like COD, anyway i took my controller apart and oiled the connections (its safe).. and its all nice and smooth again.
Apart from that my button came off the back (button too turn off controller, its on the inside) but that's no biggie. I'll be getting a couple new controllers this year, always best to have more than 1.
I haven't had my PS3 for very long (bought it Boxing Day), but both of my controllers are in mint condition.
2 sixaxis and 2 dual shock...1 sixaxis smashed pretty good so i gave it to a friend, didnt want it anymore...and 1 sixaxis and 1 dualshock are missing that rubbery thing on the left analog stick, and other dual shock is prerfectly fine....so thats that
My first 4 controllers were the non-DS3s and the thumbsticks on them wore out. Since then I've had only DS3s and they're a lot more robust and none of them have worn out. It's mostly due to my nephews that are hard on controllers. Now they're Kool aid and other sticky things they eat are getting down buttons making them stick. Idiotic children!
i still have the one that came with my ps3 well over a year ago
but im starting to want a second one incase my friends forget one to play some of the split screen games i have
i got three controllers, 1 of them is completely apart to fix up one of my other controlls and the two i got now work fine but the casing is loose on them. so yeah they are all messed up in a way. ill have to buy a new one soon...
i have 2 and they still both work for 2 years, but my friend has gone through probably more than 5. same thing for his 360. he like totally destroys his controllers somehow
my controllers are in good cosmetic shape but some screws are loose in them are rattle around, think if i send them into sony they would replace them for me? or do they not cover wear and tear?, oh and i spilled grape juice on one of them but only the square button was affected, had to use alchohal to fix it from sticking but its still not 100% good like it used to be :(
I'm on my third. The first one I busted in a fit of rage over Enchanted Arms(the worst game ever made in the history of mankind might I add). The second one....well, nevermind the second one. The third one is going strong still though. Those last 2 were Sixaxis controllers so maybe that's why they broke so easily.
