I currently could use a third controller. It's all do to playing SFIV, SSF2THR, and MVC2. Im heavy on them when playing fighting games. My L3 is all messed up.

Considering I barely play my PS3 for games, one controller is all I ever needed. Although, I did start out with a SIXAXIS and had to buy a DualShock 3 when it came out.

I've had 6. 2 I threw out the window, The batteries in 2 of them wouldn't charge anymore, and the other 2 I'm currently using right now. One for the 60GB, one for the 120GB.

left analog cracked on me from FPS craziness. As for your fighting problem why the heck would you use analogs for a fighter? Unless of course you have one of these

I had the standard SFIV fightstick however after a half hour of playing on it. stick won't respond going anything left. I plan to buy a new non madcatz fight stick sometime.

I have 2 Dualshock 3 controllers since I bought my PS3 (one that came with the PS3, the other a 2nd controller I bought so a buddy can play multiplayer with me), both not replaced yet.

2. The only reason I have to change mine is because after about 8 months, the left stick goes really sticky and makes it annoying when playing certain games

I'm still on my first. I've taken it apart to clean it and things like that, the only major issue is the sticks, they've become stuck since i play games so much, always bashing the sticks in games like COD, anyway i took my controller apart and oiled the connections (its safe).. and its all nice and smooth again.

Apart from that my button came off the back (button too turn off controller, its on the inside) but that's no biggie. I'll be getting a couple new controllers this year, always best to have more than 1.

My first 4 controllers were the non-DS3s and the thumbsticks on them wore out. Since then I've had only DS3s and they're a lot more robust and none of them have worn out. It's mostly due to my nephews that are hard on controllers. Now they're Kool aid and other sticky things they eat are getting down buttons making them stick. Idiotic children!

I've got the sixaxis that came with my PS3 still, works fine. The DS3 I bought when they came out, however....decided to just randomly die. So I replaced it. I may get around to opening the other up sometime and see what happened.

I own 4 of them but 1 of them is worn out. It has a sticky R2, an unresponsive L1 and SQUARE button. Frame is broken (glued back together) and a messed up left analog stick. I still use it though.

I have 2 controllers, the 2 that came with my 2 PS3s. I haven't purchased any extra controllers and both of my controllers work fine. I've had my first PS3 for about a year and my 2nd for about 2 months.

my controllers are in good cosmetic shape but some screws are loose in them are rattle around, think if i send them into sony they would replace them for me? or do they not cover wear and tear?, oh and i spilled grape juice on one of them but only the square button was affected, had to use alchohal to fix it from sticking but its still not 100% good like it used to be :(

When I got my (third) ps3, my brother threw in both sixaxis controllers for me. I'd since traded them in and went with the DualShocks, but still hated them until finally retail stores started carrying those RealTriggers to put on them.

I'm on my third. The first one I busted in a fit of rage over Enchanted Arms(the worst game ever made in the history of mankind might I add). The second one....well, nevermind the second one. The third one is going strong still though. Those last 2 were Sixaxis controllers so maybe that's why they broke so easily.

I have 1 - the original Dualshock 3 SixAxis that came with my Slim PS3. I play often and it's still fine. Sprinting in Modern Warfare 2 probably puts a toll on my left analog, but it's fine for now. When it's time to get a new one I will buy the white one!
